All the design projects tackled by a student over the period of her academic journey are accumulated within ‘Task boxes’
In their first year, students work as junior designers for senior students’ design projects. Hence, senior students fill the task box for the first year students.
Subsequently, the student picks a task from an opaque task box. An opaque task box is one in which the contents of the task aren’t revealed – giving the student no freedom of choice. However a second pick is permitted if the student dislikes the task he has picked.
Since the Task Box team has an established network for bringing in projects for the village, they also assist students in acquiring internships.
Internships are essential as they provide a real world understanding of the design profession. For an internship, the villager is expected to work in the outside world for a stipulated period of time, to understand the industry. Internships pertain to four kinds of working environments
The Task Box team has a robust network with the industry and therefore will also assist students seeking employment after the completion of their journey in the village.
