“In just a matter of 2 years the place has become my second home.
There is design and creativity oozing from each of its corner, it is
almost impossible for one to not get inspired and get good ideas in
such an environment. ”

The Joint Studio program amongst The Design Village, TU Delft, and Politecnico Milano aims to provide students with a unique opportunity to develop a design anthropological perspective towards cities. The program encourages students to read a city through multiple lenses and find appropriate mechanisms to communicate their reading effectively. The Joint Studio program strives to create global designers who can contribute towards designing sustainable and liveable cities.
Villaging refers to all activities undertaken for self development and learning, as well as participating in evolving and maintaining the village itself. At TDV, villaging activities carry credits and are taken as a part of the curriculum. The duration of activities can range from continuing ongoing activities, weeks to weekends, single day activities or just a couple of hours.
The Green Carpet is a sustainable design advocacy campaign put together by students of TDV to drive awareness towards the over consumption and continuous resource use, led by the creative industry. Mindful interpretations of prompts acknowledging our impact, would be showcased through multi sensorial performances by each team. The dark reality of an uncertain tomorrow looms large and thus this platform would act as a wayfinder for the young learners to take cues for their future prospects as designers and change makers. The campaign was a part of the orientation of the batch of 2023, in the endeavor to bring change in design through indigenous practices that have global impact.
